About us

Home Science department was established in the year 2017. The department currently offers home science as a subject in B.A. The department has full-fledge and well-equipped laboratories. It has its own space for class room-cum laboratory, well equipped with as much as possible accessories required for smooth conduct of practical classes. Text books and some journals are also available for the department. The primary emphasis of these courses is based on the development of society which is relevant to all. The role of home science signifies knowledge from various field like- Food and Nutrition, Child care and Child development, Nursing, Health and Hygiene, First aid, Textile and clothing, Home- management etc.

The department has successfully generated the sprite “To excel in academic among the students” Analysis of result of the past indicates that the students are doing well in their academic carrier and the outgoing students are well placed in different sphere like Lecturers, Dieticians, CDPO, Block level project officer, Interior decorator etc.

Vision of the department

- To give the students basic knowledge regarding home making and to become in expert home science.

- To create self awareness, self confidence to fight against the changing society

To provide the responsibility of acquiring accurate information and applying it in both personal and professional field.
